Oatmeal Blueberry Cake for Breakfast, Snack and Picnic

Today, we tried a great recipe from Toddler in Action: an oatmeal blueberry cake for breakfast, snacks, lunchboxes, and picnics. And we simply loved it! Not only because it took us less than 30 minutes to make, but because of its great taste.

This Oatmeal Blueberry Cake is just perfect for our collection of oatmeal cakes. If you follow us, you know we have a weak spot for sweet cakes—oatmeal cakes, though. High in fiber and healthier than 95% of the sweets out there, check the table below.

So, try out this amazing recipe and tell us how you’ve made it. To make it slightly healthier, you can swap muscovado sugar for honey or maple syrup. However, sugar is still sugar.

Oatmeal Blueberry Cake Is the Better Choice in Sweets

While it’s not the optimal choice—fresh strawberries, blueberries, apples, and other sweet, high-fiber fruits would be best – this homemade cake is a much better option than the ultra-processed sweets out there. So, give it a try.

Here’s a table showing the refined sugar and fiber content in 10 of the Most Commonly Consumed Sweet Products by kids. It definitely worth to be on our high-fiber food list for kids.
